Please follow these simple guidelines when preparing your files,
this will save you time & production costs.
• Final artwork should be set up in QuarkXpress at a proportion of the final output size, ie: full, 1/2 or 1/4 size. Where appropriate include at least 5mm of bleed around your document.
• Supporting elements should be saved in the following format:
Illustrator as an eps, creating outlines for all fonts and including imported images.
Photoshop as a Photoshop eps, specifying the encoding in the options field as JPEG (maximum quality). Please convert your images to CMYK.
Freehand as an eps creating outlines to fonts, please do not import large photoshop files into freehand.
• Specify all colours in the CMYK process.
• Pantone colours are difficult to match, however we will endeavour to find the closest possible CMYK mix, a process colour chart is available on request.
• Supply all fonts used in your document including fonts used in imported graphics.
All artwork should be scanned in at 52ppi (pixels per inch) full size, 104 ppi 1/2 size or 208ppi 1/4 size, this equates to approximately 15mb per square metre. When supplying scans it would be helpful if these could be cropped to the picture box area to be used and converted to CMYK.
Files can be accepted on the following:
Zip disks (100mb)
Jaz disks (1&2gb)
CDs
3.5 floppy disks
ISDN - when sending files via ISDN please ensure that everthing related to your job is contained in an enclosing folder and name it your company name or some other easily identifiable and relevant reference or person.
E-mail - graphic files sent by email should be less than 1mb in size.
ALWAYS SUPPLY OR FAX HARD COPIES
